I’m thrilled to announce the release of my new album Under the Northern Skies! This album forms the musical heart of the Kalevala Project, alongside the award-winning short film of the same name.
In a short time, the film Under the Northern Skies has won numerous awards around the world, including Best Narrative Short at the New York Independent Cinema Awards and the Champs-Élysées Film Awards, Best Short Film at the Tokyo Film & Screenplay Awards and Hidden Universes: IFF Melbourne, and Best Musical / Dance Film at the LA Film & Documentary Award. At the Madrid International Movie Awards, the film received an astonishing 16 awards.
It has been selected as part of the Official Selection at the Catalina Film Festival in California, the SOHO International Film Festival in New York, the HB Film Festival in Scotland, and the International Sound & Film Music Festival in Croatia, among others.
The newly released album expands this cinematic journey into a full musical experience, bringing the timeless magic of Kalevala to life through kantele, voice, and storytelling.
