“Under the Northern Skies” Wins Best World Showcase Short Film at SoHo International Film Festival, New York

We are thrilled to share that Under the Northern Skies has won Best World Showcase Short Film at the prestigious SoHo International Film Festival in New York!

The festival, founded by Jorge Ballos, celebrates bold and diverse cinematic voices from around the world. In an official statement, Executive Director and Head of Programming Sibyl Reymundo-Santiago says:

“We’re deeply proud to see how our filmmakers continue to expand the boundaries of independent cinema. Every nominee and winner tonight represents the heart of storytelling today.”

The 2025 winners, as reported by Variety, include Tricia Helfer (“Hello Beautiful”), Naum Shopov (“Wingless”), The Singers (Best US Showcase Short Film), and Under the Northern Skies (Best World Showcase Short Film).
